Et au début, avant qu’il ne soit vraiment vaincu par la maladie, ce grand homme avait l’habitude de l’envoyer dans chaque monastère, pour qu’il soit la fondation et l’exemple pour tous les frères, parce qu’il supportait la faiblesse pénible de cette maldadie avec reconnaissance. Remercions donc le Seigneur pour cela; à lui… Amen. Fin de l’histoire des compagnons de Pachôme, qui s’appelle en grec Esqêtîôn des compagnons de Pachôme. 1
